THE PHILOSOPHY OF MARTIAL ARTS: SPIRITUAL VALUES vs. SPORTING REALITIES
Open Lecture
When a man walks the Way of the Samurai, he must not seek other ideals. The same is true of the Path itself. That's why it's wrong to study the Way
Confucius' Way or Buddha's Way and say it's the Way of the Samurai. If a man understands this, he will listen to sermons about other Paths, but he will also
more and more of his own path every day.

The Philosophy of Martial Arts: Spiritual Values vs. Sporting Realities
😇🥋 Join us for an enlightening lecture on the profound philosophical foundations of martial arts, where we will explore how these practices differ from sports through their deeply rooted spiritual values and principles. In a world where globalisation and the loss of spiritual values is a major crisis, it's essential to understand the true nature of martial arts and their importance in our lives.
We will also take a critical look at the Paris 2024 Olympics, examining controversies and shifts in values that suggest a departure from the core principles once respected in both sport and martial arts. What is happening to the martial arts that were once so highly regarded and revered? Why have they lost their popularity and what does the future hold for this spiritual heritage?
In this lecture we'll explore the origins of martial arts, their enduring philosophy and their role as a potential 'cure for a sick world'. Discover how martial arts can contribute to the betterment of humanity and why preserving their true spirit is crucial in today's rapidly changing world.
Don't miss this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of martial arts and their vital role in society. Join us and together we will have a discussion about the future not only of martial arts but of humanity as a whole.
The lecture will be held in English.
